City Lines.
This piece is inspired by the sensation of moving through a dense urban corridor at night, where architecture, weather, and light begin to merge into a continuous emotional field. It draws on the experience of major cities after rain — the glow of reflected light, the compression of tall buildings, and the fleeting, cinematic disorientation of being immersed in movement, sound, and atmosphere.
The work is intended to evoke a contemplative, almost dreamlike response. It encourages a slower way of looking, where detail reveals itself gradually through texture and gesture rather than immediate recognition.
The viewer is invited to experience the feeling of being suspended within the city itself, energised by its rhythm, colour and shifting light. Vertical, expressive brushwork suggests rainfall and the upward momentum of architecture, reinforcing the sense of a city dissolving into energy rather than fixed structure.
