I went to new York as an art student and had the pleasure of looking across Manhattan form the twin towers and the Empire state but he sheer elegance of the Chrysler blew me away. It's fascinated me for decades. My painting is about calm and chaos and how the sheer scale of movement in New York feels like a sea of ghostly movements abstracted by speed and rhythm.
